On May 16, 2025, the key environmental protection facility of Dongyue Chemical's 200,000 tons/year waste plastic recycling project - the ground flare unit - was completed and successfully ignited on its first attempt. As of August 2025, it has been operating stably for over three months, marking a crucial step for the project in the field of waste plastic chemical recycling, from construction to production.

Dongyue Chemical has achieved a global breakthrough in the field of direct high-value conversion of mixed waste plastics, which is both economically feasible and environmentally disruptive. This project is exemplary in achieving chemical recycling of waste plastics.

As the core safety and environmental protection facility of the project, the ground flare unit adopts a unique side-burning arrangement, which is designed from a technical perspective. Through precise combustion flow field design, it achieves 100% complete combustion of flare gas. It also features the following characteristics:

Low operating costs: Compared to traditional flare technology, gas and steam consumption is reduced by 50% compared to the industry average, achieving outstanding energy-saving and consumption-reducing effects.

Flexible adaptability: The processing range covers various flare gas components under all project operating conditions, from low heating value to high hydrogen content, and then to high emission conditions of heavy components, all of which can achieve stable smokeless combustion, providing reliable protection for the safe release of complex gases during the conversion process of waste plastics.

Convenience of maintenance: Equipped with a pilot burner that can be dismantled and maintained online, enabling convenient replacement of wear parts during device operation.
